Where trimless lighting works best

Trimless lighting is at its best where ceilings and walls are part of the design: high-end offices and receptions, hotels and residential-style hospitality, galleries, retail and premium homes. Plaster-in downlights and linear profiles leave only light on the surface, so they suit minimal interiors where visible bezels would distract.

Because trimless fittings are installed before plastering, they need a lined ceiling or wall, early coordination with the drylining contractor and a little extra programme time. In return you get the cleanest possible finish and lines of light that can run continuously, turn corners and wash walls.
